jps,
NOYB can follow the discussion, he was playing with ya. But on a serious side, Kerry is not an intellect, not by any stretch of the imagination. If he truly was an intellect, he might have won. He is someone of average intelligence, who tried to act like an intellect and he just bored people to sleep. Today, about a 33% of the country consider themselves strong Republicans, about 40% consider themselves strong Democrats, most of the remaining consider themselves independent. The only reason (and I do mean the only reason) the Democrats lost is the Democrats blew it. Don't try to place the blame on anyone but the Democrats. "jps" wrote in message ... In article t, says... Remember, the only reason Bush won, is because he was the best choice. It sucks when you have two bad choices. It sucks when you have to run a wooden intellect against good ol' boy Bush. LOL. So basskisser has a "wooden intellect"? I think you missed the point. jps |

JohnH,
Kerry was the average GI Joe in Vietnam. He didn't want to be there, he did everything he could to get out of there, something most of the young men in America did. The problem is when he got home he attacked the soldiers and their actions in a terrible war with no enemy that was easily identifiable. There were many antiwar activist who attacked the policy of Viet Nam without attacking the soldiers. His strategy of suddenly trying to become a war hero did not fool anyone. JohnH,
It probably fooled Kevin (he is the only person in here who really is brain-dead). Harry and the democrats just jumped on board anything they thought would derail Bush. They incorrectly assumed that Kerry's "war record" would highlight Bush's lack of a war record. That was just very poor strategy, it highlighted Kerry as a flip flopper, with no real conviction on any issue. The democrats have no real strategy to turn about their downward slide. They just hope the Republicans make enough mistakes that the public will just vote for "anybody else". You know then ones where all of his medals were rescinded and he received a lower than general discharge and then when they were re-issued and his discharge was upgraded to honorable after he became a Senator. |

You ought to try reading something other than the funny papers on Sunday. His own men considered him a hero, when they were serving with him. jps |

I agree with you. The democrats have allow republicans to co-opt the dem message with vapid pronouncements of care. The country now sees the republicans for what they are, cynical sharks who care nothing for the born, just the unborn (which is really just a wedge issue) and the rich. I place full responsibility for blowing the last two elections on the dems. The fact that the election was close enough for the pugs to steal is beside the point. And Rod, I fully understood nobby was pulling my leg. The reason being that he didn't have a comeback. Notice he didn't respond... jps |
