As they say at the opera, it ain't over 'til the fat lady sings. There's more where the scooter came from, don't get too giddy. You bet there is. He was the personal attorney for Marc Rich. I'm sure you remember Rich. If not, then read up on today's news about Volker's report regarding the UN oil for food program. He's mentioned in there. " The report also found that Marc Rich & Co, a fugitive financier pardoned by former President Bill Clinton , financed the purchase, including the surcharges, of 4 million barrels of oil for the son of a French parliamentarian. " You can bet that the Clinton's aren't too happy that Libby may be put in a position of facing jail time unless he cuts a deal and starts singing. The secrets in that man's head can do harm to both the current President *and* his predecessor. |

"jps" wrote in message ... In article et, says... No Rove. No Cheney. No McClellan. No Bush. Scooter Libby. LOL. Man, you are hopeful but perhaps for no good reason. Please read closely the second sentence in the first paragraph. "Karl Rove, President Bush's senior adviser and deputy chief of staff, will not be charged on Friday, but will remain under investigation, people briefed officially about the case said. As a result, they said, the special counsel in the case, Patrick J. Fitzgerald, was likely to extend the term of the federal grand jury beyond its scheduled expiration on Friday." You think that means he's off the hook? Tighten those blinders a little more toothy boy, you're going to need less blood flow to continue your one man parade of denial. This procesutor is out of contorl, if he can't find a crime in two years he out to just shut down his investigation. Sound familiar? You were hearing say it about 10 years ago. |

Scooter Libby. Scooter will do nicely. This will put quite a lot of pressure on BushCo. LOL. People that are not too bright tend to giggle and laugh when there brain just won't let words come out. |

LOL. *If* that story is accurate, personally I expect not, hang on to your hat. Fitzgerald's mandate is to follow the investigation where it leads. If he extends the grand jury, I would expect he would then be looking into *all* crimes pertaining to the Niger documents, not just the Plame leak. Face it, he has been looking at this for two years. The leak, any perjury or obstruction charges should, by now, have been thoroughly investigated. Libby could be done for, Rove might escape, but if the grand jury is extended, watch out. It means his sights are higher. |
