I think that a boat that was solid fiberglass and through BOLTED hull to top deck would not have had that much damage at that speed. I am also surprised that it didn't go up the bank. The chain, most likely, wrapped around the props as they "free wheeled" while being towed back to the harbor. The anchor locker was open to the water and as the boat was being towed, the chain went under the boat until the props picked it up and wound it around the shaft. ( perhaps ) Jim |
