'tis true. the law says if your radio is on (big loophole), it has to
be listening to 16 or 9.

The regulation (not law) has changed.

You gotta monitor one-six if you have a VHF.

Chuck is correct. If you have a VHF, it has to be on. If you're not
actively using it, it is supposed to be tuned in to 16. Another good,
yet unenforceable law.
