I just recieved as a gift, a 1972 Aristocraft neneteen boat. The boat has
been garaged kept for over 15 years and the motor , mercruiser 165 is locked
up. The boat itself is in perfect condition.
Could anyone give me some info on this boat? I tried the web and only came
up with limited info...

Thanks in advance

Nice old boat - I drove one owned by a friend(bought new in 1972) for
several years... lots of room and the 165 was a strong performer in this
hull - about 45 mph top end and good power for skiing etc. I never
really got used to the heavy handling and noise from the hull slicing
through the water, though. It responds very well to trim input, w/o
tabs. I didn't care much for the hardtop, but it was handy on several
inclement weather runs.

Other people I have talked to with similar boats generally liked them,
they were also offered with the 120hp which would be underpowered.

I started boating in 1952 and I remember those boats quite
well. They were a nice riding and handling boat. Does this
one have a hard top?
