My neighbor has a remote system on his and when I started looking for parts it
turned out to be a gate opener controller. That may or may not get you to a
cheaper source. Those "gated community" folks don't have a problem spending
money either. I suspect the "marine" factor will add at least $100, if for no
other reason that the lift merchant is a middle man. Parts wise I found zero
difference. There wasn't even any difference in the box they used.
