The Political 'Fahrenheit' Sets Record at Box Office
By SHARON WAXMAN
NY Times

LOS ANGELES, June 27 — Michael Moore's anti-Bush "Fahrenheit 9/11"
became the highest-grossing documentary...

Except that it's not a documentary.

Of course it is; many documentaries have points of view. In fact, there
is a PBS documentary series call "Point of View."

If the senario was reversed, and this was a republican "documentary",
you'd be singing a way different tune. In fact, you'd be so agitated
you'd probably become incontinent.

You're so transparent.

Rush and Michael Moore are very similar, they both play loose with the
facts, and are very biased in their view of the world. The difference is no
one would confuse a Rush broadcast as a documentary.

Too many folks will confuse both with the truth.

That is very unfortunate, but true. The both take a little bit of truth,
spin it with opinion and present it as facts, and too many people just take
it as the gospel without any fact checking on their own.

The other problem is both of them (and many like them on both sides of the
political aisle) do nothing but alienate more and more voters. Sort of like
what goes on in rec.boats.

IMHO Moore is as much of a DNC propagandist - as Rush is a GOP propagandist.

It doesn't mean they can't entertain you well in thier own mediums. You just
have to remember WHO is talking when you expose yourself to thier work.

I agree. Perhaps the world would then realize, we are dealing with a
different type of society. One that doesn't want nor need our form of
"democracy".
