Never said I did, but I do know that an IP address can be munged so that
that average idiot (you know, the fellow you see in the mirror) cannot
trace it.

How do I know this? An old friend of mine, a fellow who spent 20 years
as a cable splicer for the telco and then 10 years as a senior systems
designer for CISCO and is now a VP of research for one of the newer
telcos, has told me this for years and has also shown me how he can do
it. Not that this knowledge is unique to him...but it is a fairly
trivial task for someone who knows what he/she is doing.

That excludes you, of course.

BTW, what was it you actually did for a living, Dennis, before your job
was sent offshore to a 2nd grade dropout in Malayasia?
