President George W. Bush's increasingly erratic behavior and wide mood
swings has the halls of the West Wing buzzing lately as aides privately
express growing concern over their leader's state of mind.

In meetings with top aides and administration officials, the President goes
from quoting the Bible in one breath to obscene tantrums against the media,
Democrats and others that he classifies as "enemies of the state."

Worried White House aides paint a portrait of a man on the edge,
increasingly wary of those who disagree with him and paranoid of a public
that no longer trusts his policies in Iraq or at home.

"It reminds me of the Nixon days," says a longtime GOP political consultant
with contacts in the White House. "Everybody is an enemy; everybody is out
to get him. That's the mood over there."

....

The President's abrupt dismissal of CIA Directory George Tenet Wednesday
night is, aides say, an example of how he works.

"Tenet wanted to quit last year but the President got his back up and
wouldn't hear of it," says an aide. "That would have been the opportune time
to make a change, not in the middle of an election campaign but when the
director challenged the President during the meeting Wednesday, the
President cut him off by saying 'that's it George. I cannot abide
disloyalty. I want your resignation and I want it now."

Tenet was allowed to resign "voluntarily" and Bush informed his shocked
staff of the decision Thursday morning. One aide says the President actually
described the decision as "God's will."

Hopefully, the mainstream media will stop giving Bush a pass and start
reporting in depth on his bizarre behavior. Bush's personal religious
beliefs are scary enough; couple those with his bizarre behavior and we
have a real problem, right here in River City.

Comparing Bush to Nixon is an insult to the former president. As flawed
as Nixon was, he was still a brilliant man. Bush is an idiot.

The only lampoon is the one this idiotic administration has foisted on
the American people.

If it were unnamed sources on the Monica Lewinsky blow job incident,
they'd have been bona fide reporters in the Republican's book.

Lampoon...right.

I have no problem with opinions, and agree with you. Making up a story like this
was cute. The problem is that jps, b'asskisser, and Krause actually believe the
story is true, and post it in the hopes the rest of the world will too.

That's the funny part!

Naw. I don't think Bush is smart enough to be becoming unbalanced. I
simply believe he suffered significant brain damage during his years of
boozing and snorting.

Bush does, however, have strange religious beliefs about the end of the
world. He truly is hopeful of Armageddon in his lifetime, and apparently
is doing whatever he can to hasten it.

Since you asked nicely:

I absolutely love my D70. On only one occasion I picked up a little moire when
photographing the house (aluminum siding) in bright sunshine.

The 'kit' lens is an 18-70mm, and is very sharp. The reviews are great. I also
purchased the 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor (go to:
http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php...ductNr=2139NAS )

I use two 512 MB Lexar Media cards and the 'Jumpshot' usb downloading device.
Never had a problem.

Even being prior military, I was able to take the camera out of the box, use the
'quick' directions and take some pictures of pets, etc, that I thought were
fantastic. I've made 8x10 blowups of cropped images that are spectacular in
their clarity and sharpness. I use the Canon i960 printer for photos and get
great results.

Now, where are the croaker biting?

The vibration reduction feature built into the lens makes it very possible to
take shots without a tripod. I can see the lens moving, but the pictures have
been great.

I've been using Epson photo paper from Costco. Have had great luck with it, but
haven't compared it to the Canon paper. I use the 'Photo Paper Pro' setting on

'quick' directions and take some pictures of pets, etc, that I thought

were
fantastic. I've made 8x10 blowups of cropped images that are

spectacular in
their clarity and sharpness. I use the Canon i960 printer for photos

and get
great results.

the i960 is a fine printer. Are you using canon paper?

The vibration reduction feature built into the lens makes it very possible

to
take shots without a tripod. I can see the lens moving, but the pictures

have
been great.

I've been using Epson photo paper from Costco. Have had great luck with

it, but
haven't compared it to the Canon paper. I use the 'Photo Paper Pro'

setting on
the printer.

Never mind that crap...seriously, how are you enjoying your D70? I

a second box to back up my D100, and the D70's specs look very good,

Shortcomings?
What are you using for memory? I've got a couple of one-gig

Microdrives
for my D100, and I'm guessing they'll work on the D70. Which lens do

you
have? Sharp enough?

Thanks

Since you asked nicely:

I absolutely love my D70. On only one occasion I picked up a little

moire when
photographing the house (aluminum siding) in bright sunshine.

The 'kit' lens is an 18-70mm, and is very sharp. The reviews are

great.
I also
purchased the 70-200mm f/2.8G ED-IF AF-S VR Zoom-Nikkor (go to:
http://www.nikonusa.com/template.php...ductNr=2139NAS )

Yikes...that's a big chunka glass there...and heavy. I have the slower
Nikkor 70-200 zoom and can barely handhold it at 200 mm. I'm hoping to
see a fixed focal length 70 mm f2, for my portrait stuff.

I use two 512 MB Lexar Media cards and the 'Jumpshot' usb

downloading
device.
Never had a problem.

Even being prior military, I was able to take the camera out of the

box, use the
'quick' directions and take some pictures of pets, etc, that I

thought

You forgot to mention quite a few of his normal opening insults to folks
here he disagrees with politically.

John H

You're not "good for babysitting". Anybody who'd let you babysit their
children after knowing you have a penchant for child pornography would
be crazy.

How did you do, John? Was there an entry for your child pornography

Now did you, or did you not SPECIFICALLY ask for pictures of "children

b'asskisser, you're sick. Get some help. I'm no psychiatrist, but the following
from the "Obsessive-Compulsive Foundation" may be helpful.

"In OCD [Obsessive-compulsive disorder], it is as though the brain gets stuck on
a particular thought or urge and just can't let go. People with OCD often say
the symptoms feel like a case of mental hiccups that won't go away. OCD is a
medical brain disorder that causes problems in information processing. It is not
your fault or the result of a "weak" or unstable personality."

Good luck.

His OCD is probably related to his FAS.

John H

Yes, John, I've already guessed that perhaps your obsession with child
pornography might well be OCD related. Are you going to seek help?
Perhaps we should contact the school system that you teach for, they
might well give you the help you need.
