Of course - at one time it had one of the only original wooden

roller
coasters on the East Coast designed by some Italian guy - it is now

a
jewish retirement complex. :)

On the South Shore, we used to hang out at Paragon Park in Hull.
Located
on
Nantasket Beach, Paragon also had an old, rickety wooden roller

coaster
that
was, for at least a while, the wildest ride in New England. My

parents
forbade me to ride on the thing, so of course it was always the first
ride
we headed for when arrived at the park.

I found some info on it:

Length: 4000'
Height: 98'
Drop: 88'
Inversions: 0
Speed: 53 mph
Duration: 1:52

When the park was closed, the coaster was dismantled and relocated at
what
is now Six Flags America in Maryland. The coaster is still in
operation.

Cedar Point...........the only place to go if you like roller coasters
(wood
and tubular).

Really? Cedar Point is the only place to go it you like roller
coasters? That's odd. Do people that go to other amusement parks NOT
like roller coasters? Do other amusement parks not have roller
coasters? Seems the last time I was at Six Flags Georgia, there were
several. See he

And Theme Parks Insider lists the Kraken at Sea World of Orlando as the
best pick.

So, I think you are erred in thinking there is only one amusement park
to go to if you like roller coasters. I like them, and have enjoyed
them in several places, and have never been to Cedar Point. I'd like
to, someday, because they do have many cool roller coasters, and people
do say it IS the best place to go, but alas, not the ONLY place, as you
have stated.

Kevin, it seems that *you* are the one obsessed with me and my posts.

My, my.

The sad thing is that kevin believes he is being "clever"

I think you need to throw on a little kindling before it flames out.

You expected something different? :)

The subject of roller coasters is indeed controversial to some.......but I
will not mention any names.

Anyway.........have you been to Cedar Point?

No - but there is some Cedar Fair, LP in the portfolio.

Cedar Fair owns not only Cedar Point but also a number of other amusement
parks across the country.....perhaps yours is one of them.

I don't know about other parks besides Cedar Point and Geauga Lake, but
based on the quality of those parks I would say it is a class organization.

A bit of history on Cedar Point (the original park in the Cedar Fair
portfolio): http://www.thepointol.com/history.html
