I thought it was pretty cool while it was running on the water - but
WOW!! I gotta get one of those - wish he would hurry up and start
production.

Just be aware that they are already good RC pilots. He says on his
web page that it's not a beginner plane, and he's right.

They are making it look easy, but it's not. If you've never flown an
RC plane before, I'll guarantee you'll never be able to fly one of
those. It's almost certainly a handful, especially in the beginning,
for all but the best RC pilots.

It *is* a pretty cool idea.

I am a pilot, and an R/C flyer. I have flown "lawnmower" planes before, and
while I agree its not a beginner plane, its difficulty scale is low.

This plane IS learnable by anybody would like to try. It is light, easy to
maneuver, and not very powerful, and has the standard 4 channel operation.
While a larger fixed wing plane would be easier to learn on, it is not out
of the question for a "newbie" to be flying this rig with only hours of
practice.

I don't agree...Have you ever flown a 5hp 1/4 scale under-wing 8 channel
plane? How about a 10 channel ducted jet?
