Sorry for looking so far ahead, but....................
..............I guess I am not like the grasshopper (
http://tinyurl.com/ds5ss ). Although I hate to discuss winterizing now I was wondering if anyone used one of these ( http://tinyurl.com/d69nj ) to flush and winterize their engine(s). They retail for over $50. I was thinking of making my own (I already have the hose and 5 gallon plastic tank). For an extra $5 in parts I am in business. I have always drained my engine(s) in the past then filled them with a 50/50 or so mix of antifreeze and water poured through the thermostat housing. Is this ( http://tinyurl.com/d69nj ) setup easier or any more reliable? If so, how does it work? |
I have always drained and then refilled using the thermostat to prevent
rust. My problem with this system is many mechanics say it dilutes the antifreeze and you can not anticipate how effective the antifreeze is. I like the system, I would just drain the engine before using it to refill with antifreeze. Don,
At the time this happened, John mentioned that Harry did invite him for a ride on YoHo. In rec.boats, he thanked Harry, but said he was not able to go for a ride in the Parker, due to other plans. He did not throw it back in Harry's face. It was a year after the invite, that Harry suddenly decided it was for a ride on his infamous Lobster Boat. Harry publishes numerous pictures of his Parker. Yet no pictures of his Lobster Boat, and no one except a person who uses Harry's computer has ever seen the boat. Harry turns down easy bets to show proof of ownership of the Lobster Boat. Harry went to such great lengths to prove "ownership" of his Parker. He
took pictures of the boat, he sent Gould the Bill of Sale so Gould could verify he owned the boat, he has made $1000 bets to prove his ownership, and the list goes on and on. Yet, when he was looking for someone to be his "buddy", he kept the Lobster Boat hidden from you, and only offered you a ride on his Parker. The big wind season is just starting here. Anyone who calls himself a sailor has been waiting for this. The 'skipper' that I crewed with in years past called. He's all excited about getting back into a 36 footer. yesterday he picked me up in his new Mercedes 4 seater convertible to go look at a boat in a club across the harbour. I tried to convince him to look at something a bit smaller with a big cockpit because of his need to invite too many people along to wine & dine on our sails. He's spending too much time stateside selling clothing. It's always...'gotta go bigger' mentality where the true Maritimer would scheme to get the most use/enjoyment out of the least expense. Harry says he's got a 36'er. Have you ever been out in it? If I was invited, and I could make it, I sure as heck would go. I couldn't imagine receiving an invite and throwing it back into the inviter's face. That's not the way we operate here in the 'Maritimes'. Good memory. Harry has twisted the account to make it seem as though I threw it back in his face right off the bat. After seeing his tripe here, I have since said that I don't think I could stand to be within 25' of him for a whole day. At that time, I didn't know his 25' Parker was actually about 35' long. That extra 10 feet could make a big difference, since I'm getting pretty close to deaf anyway! -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
Yup, and you stood up for him as being helpful. You only became a scum
bucket when you said you supported Bush. "PocoLoco" wrote in message ... You don't have to wonder. Harry does not own a Zimmerman like Lobsta' boat,

Bert,
What is funny is Harry doesn't realize is every one of his posts are archived, even if he uses X-No-Archive. He likes to pretend it is to irate you, but he has been caught at lies so often he hoped this would help. It doesn't. "Harry Krause" wrote in message ... Bert Robbins wrote: You don't have to wonder. On the list of what's funny in usenet, you low-brain-output types are pretty close to the top of the list. I began using X some years ago after I read about a few of the features one could customize with Mozilla newsreader products. Why? Just to try out a feature I hadn't seen before. After I figured out how to write the scripts to invoke it and began using X, I noticed that a few of the right-wing rectal fissures were "upset." Well, that was incentive enough to keep doing it. That's all there is to it, Bertie. You and several of the other right-wing slimeballs don't like it. How do I know that? You keep bringing it up. As for what I "own," Bertie, you simply don't know. I know it upsets you and the rest of the turds here that I won't play by your rules. How do I know that? Because you keep bringing it up. Life's a bitch, eh, Bertie? Well, you can always ESAD. -- - - - George W. Bush, our hero! President Bush demands creation of the Department of Hurricane Security. |
