I use them to stop the screw pin from unscrewing from the shackle. I put
the zip tie into the hole in the screw pin and the link of the chain. It
stops the screw pin from being able to turn.

Here is a picture of the shackles and screw pins.

Nothing for me this year as we just got back into it last month. ;-)
Just a open-end wrench (1/2 inch I believe) But there is a history that
goes back to about 1970 that include many items. :-)

The wife almost lost the cell phone, but it stopped at the edge of the
dock.
