We have a winner!

Now, why is Paul Revere's fact on Sam Adams?

Whose picture is on the Sam Adams bottles?

Ya had to ask, huh?

I just ran downstairs and grabbed a bottle. I see the picture, but I
can't
read the writing beside it (can't find my 1.50 diopter reading glasses).

I *do* remember reading however, that Samuel Adams beer is of German
origin.
The people that started the microbrewery years ago used a reciepe
transported to New England by a German brewmaster and found by his
decendents in a trunk stored in an attic.

Sounds good, anyway.

It is a Bostonian of the same era as Sam.

Politically I don't agree with Harry, and although I'm not an alcohol
drinker, but I'd do a 7 up or Pepsi with Harry any day!

Sometimes Harry, it isn't even worth discussing with you.

You missed the point entirely.

Tom, now you understand why I infrequently visit this newsgroup. I like
Harry and have enjoyed many discussions, laughs and debates with him. But,
he has developed a myopic viewpoint and obsession since Bush became POTUS
and it gets under your skin sometimes. Politics is politics and does not
belong in a boating newsgroup.

But, I'd still buy him a beer.

Why thank you. My current brand is Red Stripe, but I won't turn down a
Corona or a Montelo.

Paul Revere was a silversmith who loved to brew beer?

No. If they put Sm's picture on the label then they wouldn't sell any beer!

I can think of many things I would prefer to do than have a beer with Harry.
I could wax my car, clean the sink traps, or have my nails pulled out by
the roots, they all would be more enjoyable. ; )

I had to check it out to see how ugly ole Sam was. Here is a great portrait
of Sam.
