Hey! My D70 just arrived. Seems to be well-made, though lighter than my
D100...bot more than good enough. The strap sucks, though...too narrow.

H.

My wife gave me the SB-800 flash to go with it. Together, the camera and flash
are fantastic. Of course, at ISO 100 I can only shoot out to about 160 feet, but
who's complaining. Hope you enjoy yours as much as I do mine. I think the grand
kids are wishing I'd never bought a camera!

Does your wife know that you enjoy seeing pictures of "children in the
biblical sense"?

Left Deale at 6:30, headed for #83 with OldFart and Gimp aboard. Added a couple

couple rods and a bag full of lures. The six rod spread seemed to work, no big
tangles (couple little ones though).

Were you TROLLING with 6 lines out, or mooching? If trolling, I must admit
you're a Better Man than I! ;)

He was trolling. Very popular in the bay. You pull lots of rigs until
you pass through a school of striped bass and hope you snag one. If
there is a more boring form of sport fishing in the Bay, I haven't found
it. And I don't know if John does this, but most of the trollers pull
umbrella rigs. That way, when you catch a fish, you can reel in the fish
and about 20 pounds of metal.

Best way to catch stripers is to drift fish near those who are trolling.
There's little current in the Bay, and all the trollers and chummers
stir up the fish, which sooner or later go for whatever juicy bait you
have waiting for while whilst you drift.

Trolling! By varying the depths and distances the chance of tangles are greatly
reduced. Also, turns are made very, very gradually.
