Has anyone heard of my boat?q

On 26 May 2004 04:52:56 GMT, something compelled
(Gould 0738), to say:

Anyway, should someone have a link, I'd appreciate it. Stories
would be good, too. Outright lies have their place as well.

The boat was drawn by an avid golfer.
After a short initial production run, marketing foundered and the project was
abandoned. Hard to figure just why, with such a catchy navigational slogan...

"Par.....For the course."

Actually, the boat was still unnamed when the original prototype was launched.
A very disappointed marine architect was emerging from the hatch and shaking
his head just as a reporter for the local newspaper arrived with a notepad.

The reporter asked the NA, "What do you think of the boat?"

Fortunately for the builder, the engine was being cranked at the very moment
the architect commented, "It's pretty poor crap." and walked away.

The astonished reporter couldn't believe his ears, and asked the builder for
confirmation. "What did he say?"

The builder was a fast thinker. "He said it's a pretty Par Craft. That's what
we call this boat, a Par Craft."

(hey, you said outright lies would be OK)
