Just a point of order - spraying even a mild solution of bleach on skin or an open wound of some sort, is a really dumb idea. Use a spray like Bactine or Neosporin - lightly at that. Later, Tom Now I'm no fishermam....but if I had to be worried about catching something just from handling them, I'd be even less likely to fish. No one with any common sense fishes in our harbour...but if you just take an hour to get past the mouth, I'm sure you could eat the flesh raw. (Lots of commercial fishing everywhere except Halifax Harbour) |

He was doing the summer New England fishing thing and got cut in the leg landing a forgotten species, but normal for this area. That was two years ago and he is still recovering from a massive infection that almost cost him a leg. I'll just order it at the restaurant.
