I am a newbie boater and want opinions on the Regal 24 footer vs the Sea Ray 22 footer vs. the Chris Craft Launch 25. Why these models you ask? Because they are the smallest with a head, and she who must be obeyed has commanded a head on our new boat. The Regal and the Chris Craft have the Volvo Penta twin props and the Sea Ray the Mercruiser 5.0L with Bravo Drive. What are the thoughts on the reliability, longevity and resale value on Volvo vs Merc AND Regal vs Sea Ray vs Chris Craft? We will be boating in North Florida (St. Johns River, IC and occasionally close to the ocean). I think the Chris Craft is head and shoulders above the other two. Real head-turners, especially with the Heritage package. If price is truly no object, swallow hard and go for the 315 HP Yanmar diesel with the Bravo 3 drive. dave -- ----- news_bucket e-mail address goes to a blackhole. Sorry.
