Speaking of worms...anyone else remember the great Jean Shepherd's routine about worms? Haven't heard it in years. I used to listen to Jean on WOR Radio when I was a teen...he defined talk radio, and he did all the talking. What a wonderful storyteller he was, a one of a kind guy. My father and Jean were great friends. Jean gave me my first Novice test when I was a kid. |

Ah, so you are willing to admit that Aliens MIGHT have been the cause of the missing link? :) If you have another explanation for some of the pondscum on this planet, I am willing to listen. Such bitterness on this fine Sunday morning, Harry! Try going a whole day without any namecalling. See what happens. John, I appreciate the fact that without pondscum or the threat of pondscum, real or imaginary, you would have been unemployed for most of your adult life, and I'm suprised you don't. If there are no pondscum, why the hell would you need soldiers? You oughta come by for firewood. You must have a real fireplace in that house of yours. We don't...just got gas fireplaces. |

By the end of the night, I was no longer a novice. |

It seems like I'm the only guy in the neighborhood that will actually split his own wood, so I get the benefit of lots of wood whenever a big oak is removed. I'll show you my driver's license. THEN will you be man enough to tell the group that you, and your lemmings are dead wrong? Sorry, but I will be on vacation. I already told you that. BWAAAAHAAAAA!!!!!!!!!!! Nice way to crawl away..... I told you that when you first made the proposal. No crawling away.....taking a boat and the family to Kelley's Island for the week. You are a liar! When I brought up the fact that I would be in Cleveland around the middle of Aug. YOU said that you WOULD INDEED meet me at a place called "The Flats". When I found out the exact date I told you we would be on vacation. You mean when you tried to bluff, and I called, you backed down. NP Curtis. I could care less whether you believe me or not. I don't, because you're a liar. http://tinyurl.com/8zy6y http://tinyurl.com/dkqof In a completely unrelated thread in which Kevin never even posted, Jim mentioned back in June that he would be vacationing on Kelley's island in August. Consistent with his post from June, Jim reaffirmed on July 15th that he will indeed be on Kelley's Island in August...from the 7th 'til the 13th So why is Kevin calling him a liar? If JimH told you the sun would come up tomorrow...I'd suggest you check & make sure. |

Is that OK with you Curtis? Oh, and let me talk to my buddy. He has a boat on Lake Erie, perhaps we can meet there? Sounds like a plan. We can meet at the Village Pump and you can buy me and my family lunch and a pitcher of Brandy Alexanders. I'll show you my drivers license. THEN will you be man enough to tell the newsgroup of your findings??? Huh? I'll pass the info along to my buddy, and see if he wants to take a ride there. I'm the guest, you should buy ME lunch, especially when you'll have to eat some crow. Sounds like a plan. You would be no guest of mine though so no free lunch for you. Will you be the guy with the mullet and missing front teeth? You may well be the guy that, afterward, will be missing front teeth. |
