Hey Dallas, nice chemical plant fire!!!
Do you suppose when a solvent factory is on fire that it
may be prudent to have more than one water cannon on the scene? Live helicopter coverage for over one hour, and only one piece of fire fighting equipment on the scene. Must have been a union thing. Do you think they could have shot the water cannon on the small dumpster sized fire at the base of the building across the street before the fire penetrated the wall and took out that building also? About a 15 second shot would have saved the entire building. Does it surprise you there were no 'on grounds' fire suppression systems at a place with this huge amount of explosive tankage? Things really are bigger in Texass. Fires, Explosions, Stupidity, Lack of policy enforcement, George Dubya, lack of containment dams at chemical plants. As long as Darwinian morons run chemical plants the terrorists can just stay home and watch us blow ourselves up. And by the way, I guess the price of several solvents just went up. doesn't an antifreeze manufacturing facility usually blast off into space about mid September, and they usually never find the cause? But lucky for us the price of antifreeze goes up about double as the outcome, just when you need to buy some in the worst way. Stock up now, before the blast. |
