We bought a Tempurpedic and have been using it for about three weeks. The wife
loves it. I found myself waking up sweating. After about three nights, I woke up
itching badly. Thought maybe bed bugs were in the foam. This kept getting worse,
with a rash all around the trunk area (which happens to be the area that 'sinks'
deepest into the foam. After about ten days the rash was spreading up my back
and sides, itching like mad.

Yesterday the doctor diagnosed 'contact dermatitis (sp?). Nothing in my
lifestyle has changed, except for the TP mattress. Last night I slept in guest
room. No waking up, no itching, no new rash, and the old rash seems to have
dissipated somewhat.

So. Be sure you get a decent guarantee. We bought the mattress and the
adjustable bed as a 'deal' ($3500 - a deal??) The adjustable bed portion of the
deal is not returnable. Caveat emptor.

Anyone have suggestions on a good mattress?
