Here is my solution to all those non-rec.boats messages - I add the
individuals to my delete filter list and they no longer bother me. The
messages are few, but they do deal with rec.boats.
It's too bad that I am adding some who contribute to this group, but it's
the only way I can keep this group straight.

If some of you have a better idea, I would like to hear from you

Most people with a decent head on their shoulders use "OT"... I'd recommend
filtering based on subject..... many folks who post political bandwidth
waste also are some of the most knowledgeable...
