Bill "Marshall Banana" wrote in message ... Also Sprach cag : Water spots on windows on houseboat will NOT come off! Things I've tried: BMW reccoments Bon-Ami cleaner to get water spots off windows... NOT "Bon Ami Kitchen and Bath Cleanser", which is the stuff that comes in a round can, but "The Original Bon Ami Cleaning Powder" which comes in a square cardboard box. Faq at http://www.garageboy.com/bmw/bonami.html, and yes, that is an actual reprint of the official BMW service bulliten, checked with my dealer. Dan windex fantastic X-14 Lime-Away amonia Meguiars Cleaner Wax with an orbital buffer (this works a little bit) Turtle Wax Polishing Compound (works, but must work on a small spot for a LONG time) It's tinted glass - real glass, not plexiglass. The Meguiars wax on the electric buffer has given the best result/effort ratio so far, but still can see a lot of spots when the sun hits it just right. With the Turtle Wax compound I would be able to get off all the spots - by Christmas! But the Motrin bill would bankrupt me! Surely there is SOMETHING that will cut these spots off relatively easy??? Any ideas are greatly appreciated. cag -- Whatever became of the moment when one first knew about death? There must have been one. A moment. In childhood. When it first occured to you that you don't go on forever. It must have been shattering, stamped into one's memory. And yet, I can't remember it. -- Tom Stoppard, Rosencrantz and Guildenstern are Dead |
