Guess:

1. To assume, presume, or assert (a fact) without sufficient information.

2. To form a correct estimate or conjecture of: guessed the answer.

3. To suppose; think: I guess he was wrong.

No, I said he "guessed" some of his customers did that. I did not say he
"assumed." There can be a world of difference between a guess and an
assumption.

Again, you have shown your language skills are not up to par.

Further, if the merchandise isn't stolen, it isn't stolen. In pawn-shop
parlance, if it isn't on the tip sheet, it isn't stolen.
