.com... I have a 40hp Johnson.. from 1970. It was rebuilt 6 years ago.. and ran super great...until.. last friday.. now I have a hole the size of a gulf ball coming out the side of the head. ![]() I have a 1963 boston whaler.. 13.5 feet long.. My question is.. what is a reasonable price range for a newer.. lets say.. mid 90's up.. for a 50 hp motor? A great working motor.. ? I know the 100 bucks a hp gimmick for a new one.. I am hoping to find a great motor for about a grand. For ball park starting point, check www.iboats.com and go from there. Of course, your best bet is a locally owned, well maintained, low hours motor being sold by someone who doesn't really know the value 8-), but that website will give you a frame of reference. |
