Thursday, 16 June 2005 So what does this have to do with federal authorities and homeland security Kevin? And how about a link to that story? I looked and looked, but could find nothing in the story relating to the Department of Homeland Security. Did I miss something? Are the Cherokee County police an undercover unit of DHS? Or is someone just making up some crap? -- John H I just KNEW I'd have to explain it ad nauseum to YOU!! The charge!!!! The CHARGE!!! It is a charge that is NOT a state law, BUT IS a Federal charge under the DHS. Jeesh......like trying to get a cat to understand the theory of relativity. |

Will you be man enough to apologize when you finally find out that I'm not Kevin Noble? I'm sure most would agree that the backsliding/childish insults/petty name calling behavior was very predictable. As for him being 'man enough' to apologize.......good luck! Hell, Don, he's not even man enough to ANSWER the question of will he apologize! |

Jeesh......like trying to get a cat to understand the theory of relativity. Sorry, but many states have a "Terroristic Threat" Law. Most are related to terrorizing a person, and predate Homeland Security. New Jersey's is typical: Terroristic threats 2C:12-3. Terroristic threats a. A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he threatens to commit any crime of violence with purpose to terrorize another or to cause evacuation of a building, place of assembly, or facility of public transportation, or otherwise to cause serious public inconvenience, or in reckless disregard of the risk of causing such terror or inconvenience. b. A person is guilty of a crime of the third degree if he threatens to kill another with purpose to put him in imminent fear of death under circumstances reasonably causing the victim to believe the immediacy of the threat and the likelihood that it will be carried out. L.1978, c. 95, s. 2C:12-3, eff. Sept. 1, 1979; L.1981, c. 290, s. 15, eff. Sept. 24, 1981. http://www.jfrlaw.com/criminal_statutes/2c123.htm |

![]() wrote in message oups.com... Man, I'm sure glad that BushCo has spent millions on the Homeland Security Act. First, they got those pesky terrorists who were such blatant evil-doers that they were selling downloads of Star Wars on the internet! Now, a couple of young boys in northern GA were arrested for "terroristic acts". What were they doing? They were sitting on a small hill by a state hwy. and took a couple of shots at passing cars with a Daisy BB gun! Whew, if not for Homeland Security, those terrible, nasty terrorists would still be free. You need to move down here where the federales fear to tred. People are always disappearing somewhere in the bayous. |

But, I think it's absurd and
stupid for them to be branded terrorists because of BushCo's need to have full and total control of the country's citizens. Sounds like the Nazis to me! Nazis"??? Hitler didn't go after people using guns, he confiscated the guns first THEN took out (killed) the armed public. Where do you get this "nazi" crap, anyhow??? |

Kevin,
I know you know people could be prosecuted for terrorist acts way before their was a Homeland Security Act. What makes you think this crime and the prosecution of this crime has anything to do with the Homeland Security Act? You must make liberals cringe whenever you open you mouth. You are an embarrassment to liberals all over the world. wrote in message oups.com... *JimH* wrote: wrote in message oups.com... *JimH* wrote: ROTFLMAO!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!!! Hint: Local authorities can arrest people for terroristic acts UNDER the Homeland Security act. It is a not a "local" law. |

And no, federal law
inforcement wasn't involved, as far as I know. BUT, the charge of terroristic threat IS from the Homeland Security Act. I wouldn't call action taken by locak law enforcement as being "Nazi" and no Federal action? even though these young turks actions fall under th "Homeland Security Act" hmmmm |
