From the Christian Science Monitor:

A 'clear ... system failure'
New photos, videos, and Red Cross report show Iraqi prisoner abuse was
widespread.
by Tom Regan | csmonitor.com

** I read that 'local boy' Tom Regan had gone stateside.
I guess he's Halifax's contribution to tweak the American conscience and

try
to bring honour and justice back.
Noble work!

Why are Canadians so interested in American politics and culture? Is Canada
really that boring?

Unlike 'some' Americans...we don't believe the world revolves around
us...and therefore try to be more wordily aware.

So you are more *wordily* aware?

And yes, the world does revolve around the United States.

''''''And yes, the world does revolve around the United States.'''''''

Do you know there Jim that that attitude is why the planes flew into the WTC
(according to university students in the middle eastern countries, asian and
many other countries).
Do you know that when ever students travel abroad from U.S. universities,
they always (and are advised to by their professors) to wear Canadian
patches or shirts or something to show they could be Canadian? Wearing a tee
shirt or jacket with a U.S. badge on it is like wearing a target on a firing
range. Wearing something Canadian is respectable and you will (at least I
do, personal experience) receive respect globally and far better treatment.
Now I do not agree with that, you know that, I have defended the U.S. many
many many times, but your arrogant attitude, as you so proudly displayed
with your comment quoted above, you can see why you are hated globally.
I will once again state how magnanimous I believe you U.S. taxpayers are for
doing (and paying for) more globally for disease, hunger, poverty and
terrorism.
And do not for a second thing that the standard of life is any better in
your country, not for a second. Only betterment you have is the opportunity
to capitalize on greed. You can make a lot more money in the U.S. than most
countries. But Canada sure is a nicer country to live and work.
