You going boating tomorrow? Oh...wait,,,you have no boat...and you're in Cleveland. How sad. Today's Rasmussen tracking poll, btw, shows the race as dead even, with Kerry enjoying a statistically insignificant two point lead. Zogby has it about the same. Gallup had this to say this week: Quick Links Gallup Management Journal The Gallup Poll Tuesday Briefing Election 2004 StrengthsFinder Book Site May 06, 2004 Bush Approval on Iraq, Economy, and Terrorism at Low Points Presidential contest a dead heat by David W. Moore and Frank Newport Page: 1, 2, 3, 4, 5 Next GALLUP NEWS SERVICE PRINCETON, NJ -- The latest Gallup survey finds the American public mood in one of the most negative states since President George W. Bush took office. Satisfaction with the way things are going in the country is tied for the lowest level of Bush's presidency, as is his overall job approval rating. Bush's approval ratings on his handling of the economy, foreign affairs, the situation in Iraq, and terrorism are all at the lowest levels ever. The presidential contest is now a dead heat among likely voters, though Bush led Sen. John Kerry by five to six percentage points in mid-April. Wait until more Bush-**** hits the fan. Your boy may well be sliding down that razor blade into a vat of acid. |

My wife and I have found time to start work on several outdoor projects we really were never able to get to while owning a boat. We have discovered other things to find pleasure in. Boating was indeed fun but it is not an end all to make one happy....you are a perfect example of that as you continue to be the most miserable person I have ever known despite the fact that you allegedly own a boat. So how is that custom 36 foot lobster boat? I have not heard any stories about you working on it in prep for spring launch. |

About the only "recommissioning" work I do is bring back the stuff I took home in the fall and pack it back aboard. I did splice up a number of lines, but I did that back in December and January. All I did today on the Parker was make sure the detail guy finished up. Cleveland in the summer. Good grief. |

I truly do. Meanwhile, here's our local marine forecast: Today S wind around 5 kt. Waves flat. A slight chance of showers and thunderstorms in the afternoon. Winds and waves higher in thunderstorms. Soon as my wife gets up outa bed (it is only 6:30 am here), we're heading for a nice day of boating. What will you be doing today, Dennis? Watching the grass grow? Too bad that you think that owning a boat is the end all to happiness...you contradict that every day in this very NG as you show that you are nothing but a bitter old man who has no life except the one you make up here. Having said that.....Not having a boat at present has given me more time to work in the yard with my wife and get some things in order outside that have been neglected in the past. I am enjoying this new found time and our yard has never looked better. We plan to do some fishing on our friends boat in a couple of weeks. Other friends have given us a heads up that they will also be inviting us out this summer on their boats. I guess we have the best of both worlds now. ;-) |

jim--,
The only thing better than having a boat, is having a friend with a boat. What is a real shame is not having any friends and having to make up an elaborate story about an infamous "Lobster Boat".
