And something to think about

As nightfall does not come all at once, neither does oppression. In both
instances, there is a twilight. And it is in such twilight that we all must
be aware of change in the air -- however slight -lest we become unwitting
victims of the darkness.

- Justice William O. Douglas, US Supreme Court (1939-75)

From the article - here's proof that Bush, the idiot, has surrounded himself
with idiots as campaign advisors:

"On Tuesday, the president will speak about the Patriot Act again with
law-enforcement officers in Buffalo, N.Y., the site of recent criminal cases
against the Lackawanna Six, a group of Yemeni-Americans convicted of
supporting terrorism by briefly attending al-Qaida camps in Afghanistan."

The Buffalo police had as much to do with that case as I had to do with
choosing what my neighbor had for dinner tonight. There is no significance
to his giving a speech in that city, unless he feels like making a quick
stop at Niagara Falls.

shred

From the article:
"To abandon the Patriot Act would deprive law enforcement and intelligence
officers of needed tools in the war on terror, and demonstrate willful
blindness to a continuing threat."
********************
Care to hazzard a guess as to the *origin* of this so called *continuing
threat* if such a thing exists?

Well....depends on who responds.

Me: The threat comes from the Patriot Act and the lazy unpatriotic pigs who
support it blindly.

JohnH: "Why do you need to see cut & paste jobs about a Supreme Court
justice?"

NOYB: "The threat comes from the enemies that you liberal pansies are afraid
to make war against. But, when my kids are old enough to be drafted, I'll
change my tune".

Tuuk: "Sometimes countries have wars because there's evil someplace, or
something".
