Posted on Sat, Apr. 17, 2004 6 Marines, scores of Iraqis killed in fierce battle BY RON HARRIS St. Louis Post-Dispatch HUSAYBAH, Iraq - (KRT) - Six Marines were killed and scores of insurgent Iraqis slain in a fierce 14-hour battle Saturday between Marines and mujahedeen fighters who slipped into this town near the Syrian border. According to Marines, an estimated 300 Iraqis from Fallujah and Ramadi launched an assault against the Americans in Husaybah around 8 a.m. local time, beginning with a roadside bombing and a flurry of 24 mortars. When Marines responded to the bombing, they were met with small-arms and machine-gun fire as they neared a former Baath Party headquarters. Marines responding to the call for help were mortared and strafed as they made their way into the city. Additional Marines then joined in the fight. All of those Marines died so that your ****ing civilian ass could sleep peacefully tonight. I hope you say a pray for them. Bzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzzt. Wrong. All those marines died because we have a dunce as CiC who is absolutely clueless and who is being led around by the nose by the neocons in his administration. Is there any prinicple or ideal that you hold dear and would be willing to give your life for? Those marines died for nothing. Their lives were wasted, and their families are suffering. They were nothing more than pawns in a game being played by the Bush-****ters. Iraq posed no threat to the United States, there were no weapons of mass destruction, and there were no direct and significant connections between Saddam Hussein and the 9/11 terrorists and activities. Competent legal authorites within the U.S. judged that Iraq was involved in terrorist activities. No matter how much you and the other crazed neocons rationalize, you cannot justify the latest Bush's latest war. It is blowing up in our faces, and it will continue to do so. The concept of world domination by a superpower is kaput, especially since nations more radical than the Soviet Union ever was have nuclear capabilities. Our activities in Iraq today are a continuation of the hostilities from 1991. We're going to pay a big price for Bush's misadventure in Iraq. It is better to fight against those that want to oppress and kill you rather than rolling over and letting them walk all over you. Rational Americans everywhere are praying. They pray for the families of Bush's victims, such as the marines AND the innocent civilians killed in Iraq, and they pray that America's long nightmare as embodied by the Bush Administration will come to an end next January with Bush's defeat this November. But there is a far larger number of Americans that hope and pray that Bush is reelected. If Kerry is elected then we can expect that Kerry will bend over and let the rest of the world have its way with us. Bush's reign will forever be seen as a black mark on our nation's history. Bush is a great president due to the fact that he is standing up to those that wish to subjugate us to their radical beliefs. The most curious thing about all of your ralling against bush is that you never directly support Kerry. I never hear what Kerry is going to do. What is Kerry going to do? How is he going to do it? When is he going to do it? I believe that even the Democrats are scared to death that if Kerry gets elected our country will take a giant leap in to the cesspool of European Socialism and we will suffer all of the ills of Socialism. |
