Your boat is right nice looking, and the inside looks well taken care of. I like your heater. Some great ideas there. Harry, since you're watching, you've made many snide or just plain ****ty comments about Neal and his boat. Obviously, you're wrong again. Why don't you just worry about your own behavior, Herring? I admit I kinda guessed 'cause it was hard to see. So, what was the 'First Chance'? -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." First Chance was indeed this same boat. We spent an entire 6 months in 1993/94 looking for a decent 270 Dancer (vintage 1985-1988) and saw nothing but crap. We saw this '87 advertised and took a look We crawled through this boat in late winter 1994 and it looked good so we hired a good surveyor (Greg Group) for a structural survey. He called me following his survey (I was in NYC at the time), leaving a voicemail message asking that I call him back immediately. I called him later that day only to hear some bad news........he said he found extensive crazing under the engines and recommended against buying the boat. The owner blew a fuse when I called him and had the local SeaRay dealer have it inspected by their body guy. After inspection the dealership confirmed the crazing situation but said it was limited to small area under the port engine. Later inspection showed a broken motor mount causing the problem. The dealer repaired the crazing problem and replaced the broken motor mount. The deal was now back on. We purchased the boat subject to an adequate water trial and the rest is history. First chance.....Second chance. ;-) The major mistake I made on this purchase was not having the engines compression tested as I ended up having to have one of the engines (if I recall they had about 750 hours on them at the time of purchase) rebuilt in late 1994. |

JimH,
He does seem very obsessed with you, JohnH, Bert and Smithers. "*JimH*" wrote in message ... "Ted" tedwilliams@nospam wrote in message ... Wait, give him a chance, and he'll cough up his litany of how I plan to drive to dumpy Cleveland to do him harm. Cleveland? I live 20 miles east of Cleveland. Regards, Ted I could care less about the liar Harry Krause. He is the one who has the need to respond to each and every one of my posts.....talk about the "Obsessed With..." club. He has stalked me and my wife and admitted to doing so, including posting (in this NG) our address and names. He has also made personal threats to me and my wife and claimed to have obtained a picture of our house. Obsessed? Indeed he is. He has done the exact same thing to several members of this NG only because they shared a different political view than Krause. How sad. I have now resorted to making a copy of all his posts referring to me or directing to me.....they are being forwarded to my attorney as we hope to bring a civil suit against him in the near future. And that lawsuit will indeed happen. |
OK. Thanks! Good reason.

As for your opinion of the boat, Kneel, consider that: * the trailer it sits on is worth more than your clapped-out, smelly old sailbote... * the boat is named after our favorite "ride" at WDW, Pirates of the Carib... What's your sailbote's name, Kneel? "Stinky" My sailboat is the envy of the Eastern seaboard. I call her "Cut the Mustard." You may feast your eyes on her and her many to-die-for attributes he http://captneal.homestead.com/index.html CN I dunno, Kneel...you really live on that boat? It's not much bigger below decks than the average refrigerator box a homeless guy might like. The purple upholstery looks pretty slick, though, and I like your nav station. You've done some nice work on that boat. Believe it or not, our Parker, which, by the way, is substantially larger than your sailbote, has a funky little galley with a sink similar to yours, a double burner stovetop, running water, and a refrigerator/icemaker. I store plastic fishing gear boxes in the refrigerator. There's also an electric flush toilet in the forward part of the cabin. Despite the amenities, though, it ain't a cruising boat. It's for fishing. Here's the nav station. http://i4.photobucket.com/albums/y134/stillanon/nav.jpg By the way, "John Jay" is a usenet troller who has at least 45 different "identities" he uses. We call him "Smithers." He is one of the ranking pus-filled rectal fissures of the known universe. Caveat emptor. Since when is a 25 foot Parker substantially bigger than a 27 foot Coronado? What horse****. John Jay may or may not be a fake identity, but you and basskisser seem to be the only ones who refer to any of your detractors as 'Smithers'. How about some pictures of the 'big boat', Harry? You know, that Zimmerman-style lobsta boat. -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." I always find it funny when Krause is happy to share pictures of his modest fishing boat but has never posted any of his custom made 36 foot lobster boat. Do you think there may be a reason for that? Got any pictures of the boat you'll be buying four years from now? Since you asked nice, here is a picture (sorry about the low quality....it is a scan from a photo) of the 270 Sundancer we owned several years back. I would probably consider buying another one because Searay made boats that were bulletproof back then. http://tinyurl.com/9kbee BTW, the sky was not dark like it is showing in the picture. I could have fixed it with photoshop before I posted it but I saw no reason to have to bother doing that. Well? What was the 'First Choice'? -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." She was named 'Second Chance', not 'Second Choice'. My bad. -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
