Mercruiser exhaust parts are finished better, and coated better(ceramic)
than aftermarket. Prices are very competative too.

New question ;)

Any suggestions on where to pickup a exhaust manifold and elbow? any
internet sites? recommendations? Cast iron is what i have now, i saw a
site:
http://www.perfprotech.com/portal2/s...CategoryID=233
that have ceramic, what are the +s and -s...

If your exhaust manifold couples to an elbow, then apparently a riser is
not
part of your system. Why would you think you need one?

Look at your engine. You don't need any more parts than are there now!

Generally speaking, the only reason you need a riser is if, in your
particular installation, the manifold or elbow outlet is at such a height
that the final exhaust tube to the transom exhaust outlet has a very gentle
pitch, so that there *might* be a chance of backflow into the manifold in
pitching seas. If the original factory installation did not include a
riser, then you probably don't need one.

I'm not sure where you live, but Doug Russell Marine in MA has the best
prices in NE as well as a great selection.
