Chain Saw Massacre

I mentioned last week I had to buy a new chain saw after my ancient one

The new one scares the hell out of me, but the old one never did. I
think the reason is that I am tempted to cut down or cut up much bigger
chunks of wood than I did with the old one. This one, though not even
close to "commercial size," seems a lot more powerful.

Yup, that's a Husqvarna for you, very nice chain saws. Mine starts
second pull every time!

On a more technical note, I haven't had a new two cycle yard toy in some
time. They sure as hell start a lot easier than they used to.

My John Deere string trimmer, about 10 years old, always surprises the
heck out of me. Took it out of storage yesterday, the tank was dry,
topped it off with 32:1, and it started on the first pull... no primer
on this one, just a choke. My Homelite with choke & primer never does
this. Only the 1972 Johnson 6hp will do this too...
