Default Hey greater Boston area members......

.....I heard the weather got pretty nasty over there this weekend with rain
predicted every day this week. Has spring arrived yet?

What the hell are you talking about? It's been in the high 70's (F),
bright sunshine, the trees are leaving out, the flowers are in bloom
and the coming week is looking even better - calm seas, fair winds and
beautiful skies.

Oh, if only it were true. :)

Later,

Tom

Several of my wife's roses are in full bloom now, and most of the others
are on the verge. Our Chinese dogwoods are just beginning to bloom,
weeks after the blooms on most of the native white and pink dogwoods are
gone.

We had a pretty substantial storm Friday. Lots of rain, lots of wind
from the NE, and it did some damage to the lower shoreline area hereabouts.

Cheer up. The snapper blues don't run at Barrows Rock in Woodmont for
another month. But...you can catch stripers slow-trolling along Pond's
Point with sandworms.

We're getting drowned by heavy rains and strong winds today....expect
rain most of the week. The only thing blooming on my property is tulips
and dandelions. At least the trees are starting to show leaves.

Sorry to hear that. We did have a nice weekend here...as we did 2 out of
the past 3 weekends. I was able to power wash the house, clean the screens,
clean the windows and install the screens this weekend in 70 degree temps.
Then we got an invitation to join our friends splash their reconditioned
(new teak topside to the tune of $15,000) 26 foot Lyman on Saturday but
were just too tired. Ate dinner, watched a DVD (National Treasures) and
then crashed.

BTW: You have to see that movie. Thumbs up.

Today I washed my wife's SUV...then it started to rain. Go figure. The temp
had fallen from 69 to 54 if that makes you feel any better. ;-)

Temperatures here expected only to be in the 60's this week. Lake Erie
temperature 5 degrees below normal for this time of year.

The seasons are definitely shifting.

Please join me in prayer that it doesn't rain here Tue and Wed. I want to watch
the Blue Angels do their thing at Annapolis while hanging some cut bait over the
side for a few stripers, croakers, perch, or anything else that'll take it. I
might even splurge and buy a couple soft-shell crab for those fellas.

Took the ski boat out Saturday to Buckeye Lake (Ohio). 76 degrees and sunny.
The water was still a little cool at 63, but there were also very few boats
out. very nice.
