Several of my wife's roses are in full bloom now, and most of the others are on the verge. Our Chinese dogwoods are just beginning to bloom, weeks after the blooms on most of the native white and pink dogwoods are gone. We had a pretty substantial storm Friday. Lots of rain, lots of wind from the NE, and it did some damage to the lower shoreline area hereabouts. Cheer up. The snapper blues don't run at Barrows Rock in Woodmont for another month. But...you can catch stripers slow-trolling along Pond's Point with sandworms. We're getting drowned by heavy rains and strong winds today....expect rain most of the week. The only thing blooming on my property is tulips and dandelions. At least the trees are starting to show leaves. |
