I have good luck with ordinary laundry bleach. For stubborn stains, you can use
a cleaning powder like ajax, but don't rub it in as it is too abrasive. Just keep the affected area moist, while the bleach does it's work. You can try different concentrations of the bleach until you find one that works. You have to leave it on for a while to let the bleach do it's job. Another stronger product is 'Zud', which is also a cleanser type product. Sherwin D. Mike Schumann wrote: Over the winter, I stored my sailboat in a shed at our lake. Unfortunately, the mice took over making it their home. I have cleaned the boat the best that I can using detergent, but there are still a lot of areas where the fiberglass is stained. Does anyone have any suggestions on what I can do to eliminate these stains? Thanks, -- Mike Schumann |
