Subject: SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 0113
March 22, 2004 ML - 390 Subject: SAFETY RECALL CAMPAIGN 0113 Dear Harley-Davidson Dealer: Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc. has learned that certain 2001- 2003 Model Year FL Touring and Police model motorcycles, including FLHPI, FLHTPI, FLHPEI, FLHTCI, FLHTCUI and FLTRSEI-2 (2001 only), have a condition whereby the 40 Amp. main circuit breaker could open due to reasons other than for which it was designed, thereby causing an unexpected interruption of all electrical power to the motorcycle. This condition could cause a "quit while riding" situation, which could lead to a crash, thereby causing death or injury to the rider. We have voluntarily declared this a defect related to motor vehicle safety (Campaign 0113) to allow us to formally recall all affected motorcycles. The remedy of this issue is to replace the circuit breaker on the above noted vehicles. In the interest of the safety of our mutual customers and as required by law, you may sell but NOT DELIVER any affected motorcycles to your customers. A service bulletin outlining the repair and credit procedure, along with a list of affected VIN's will follow within two weeks. In accordance with Federal regulations administrated by NHTSA, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc. will provide notice to all owners of record of affected products with direction to bring the vehicle in for the recall service. Sincerely, Harley-Davidson Motor Company, Inc. |

Proverbs 15:2 Does the Bible ever advise telling people who disagree with you to shut the f*** up? Are you proud of this type of post, so you defend it? BTW when posting about boating topics, I use my real name. If you don't know it, maybe you aren't reading the right threads. DSK |

You get what you deserve. Because I am logical and consistent, and point out your errors, I deserve to be told 'shut the f*** up"? That's nice. If it bothers you to have your own ill manners pointed out to you, then you have two choices.... 1- go somewhere else to play or 2- clean up your act. DSK |
