"Gary Warner" wrote in message ... "NOYB" wrote: New York Times/CBS News poll That's nice, NOYB. Here are some other number from the same poll: .... 54 percent of Americans think the country is headed the wrong way. Bush will make the economy: Better 30% Worse 23% Kerry will make the conomy: Better 36% Worse 11% So what your statistics have proven is that based upon the margin of error in the poll: 1) about half of America feels the country is headed in the *right* direction, and 2) people are pretty much evenly split on which candidate will make the economy better. However, there is no rationalizing the difference in people's opinions of each candidate's integrity. 51% believes Bush means what he says 33% believe Kerry. No margin of error can account for the 18 percentage point drubbing Kerry takes on the issue of integrity. Ironically, that is the main issue Kerry has decided to run on. It's almost comical. |

"jps" wrote in message ... In article , says... 51% believes Bush means what he says This simply means he believes what his handlers tell him to say. 33% believe Kerry. Means that he's smart enough to know he's telling people what they want to hear. You're a deeply twisted individual... |

If the poll's results were the other way around and the Times published
them, would you say its editors DID NOT see the writing on the wall? You do understand my question, right? -- Do not respond to my Hotmail address. It's never checked. If a Foxnews reported on a story with a positive message about a liberal,
there's a high likelihood that the story is true. If Foxnews reported on a story with a negative spin towards a liberal, then the story may or may not be accurate. The same scenario applies to the NY Times and stories about conservatives. You do understand my statement, right? Yes. The Times published poll results. It has nothing to do with who "saw
the writing on the wall". If they publish a story about a train wreck, does it mean the bulk of the staff believes trains are unsafe? -- Do not respond to my Hotmail address. It's never checked. If they publish a story about a train wreck, does it mean the bulk of the staff believes trains are unsafe? Depends upon the wording in the story. Journalism isn't objective any more. If a train wrecked, and the journalist who reported on the wreck had a bias against train travel, the headline would read: "Supposedly Safe? Recent Train Collision Shows the Dangers of Rail Travel". |
