The North Vietnamese repeatedly stated that they would never stop fighting. Period. Can you imagine our soldiers hauling munitions for hundreds of miles, wearing flip-flops, using bicycles to wheel the heavy stuff? Hanoi's symbolism meant nothing to the NV. |
