WOW, 60,000 rpm. That baby really cranks!
G "Mark the shade tree guy" wrote in message lkaboutboats.com... My 86 Tracker engine has two top speeds. The engine starts ok, idles fine and is reliable. However, sometimes (most of the time) it has two high-end top speeds. When it is "normal" it turns about 60k rpms. The lower rpm is about 45-48. Sometimes it kicks in when hitting a wake. Other times it stays at the slower speed. It was just tuned up and the top coil stator under the flywheel was replaced. Does anyone have any idea what the problem is and how it may be repaired? Thanks. |
