Thats right .
There is another advantage, Ropes don't chip the hell out of paint and
things ; if some over zelous youngster throws it over the car it won't
break your drivers side window either.
I use straps over most of my boats and ignore the noise. The truth is I
drive a very old VW diesel so there is not enough speed to create the
noise or the car is just to noisy on its own.
Of course there is the old fall back on most cars. the radio volume
button.
Ahh the ultimate solution,, A 500 wat amp for your stario..
Still loving the quiet solitude of Kayaking.
