Harry,

I am going to type this slowly to help you understand it. If you owned a
boat, it would not matter if it was a bet or not. You would walk away with
the exact same amount of money.

The fact that you jumped at the chance to accept an offer, but backpedaled
away when it was a bet confirmed in everyone's mind, that you absolutely,
positively do not own a Lobster Boat.

The question is do you want $10,000 (that would cover your gas for the next
5 years)? To walk away with $10,000, all you have to do is provide proof of
ownership, and be willing to understand if you do not provide proof of
ownership, you lose $10,000.

If you really own the boat, it does not matter.

Now tell us who is backpedaling.

Sometimes you are just too easy, it is no competition if the fish is
fighting to bite the bait.

Harry,

It is good to see you are not dumb enough to accept a bet that you own a
Lobster Boat, your wife would be ****ed if you lost $10,000. I dangled
the bait concerning $10,000 because I knew if you thought you had nothing
to lose, you would jump on it. As soon as you realized you had to prove
proof of ownership, you jumped shipped.

Bullship. You offered $10,000 unconditionally to see the boat and the
paperwork, and AFTER I accepted the offer, you tried to turn it into a
bet.

It's not my fault if your knowledge of the English language makes your
mouth write checks your wallet cannot cash.

Your attempt to make your "offer" look like bait may work with your clutch
of braindead dirtbags around here, but the reality is, you made an OFFER
not a BET, and then tried to backstep your way into a bet.

You're in good company with Hertvik, Fritz, Tuuk, Karen Smith, Wally,
Robbins, and the rest of the dreck.

Where are you when some *conservative* is attacked here Chuck? I have
never
seen you chime in on those threads.

Go figure.

**************************

Ah, but you're missing the other half of the hypocrisy: The "Anonymous
remailer" yells and screams bloody murder whenever anybody wanders OT
in any thread. I wouldn't be doing the same thing.

Where am I when a conservative is being attacked?
Usually leading the pack, (hoping to start a pig pile) and it is oh, so
shameful. Do you have any idea how intellectually weak, emotionally
crippled, and generally f'd up and misadjusted somebody would have to
be haunt a newsgroup waiting for somebody to post something, anything,
so that a crappy and personal remark can be made? (No, of course you
wouldn't). It's among my worst characteristics.

Take quilting for example. I don't quilt, but I have been seen hanging
around the quilting NG
just waiting for certain little old ladies to say anything I can turn
into an insult. Believe it or not, the whole game so dominates my life
that I can recall, years later, when Granny A or Granny B
made some ridiculous claim about visiting the grandkids in Hoboken- and
then years later claimed to be in Philadelphia that same weekend! That
can't be allowed to stand in the quilting NG, by gawd, and it's my job
to spend my life exposing the lies and false claims for what they are.
Nobody should be able to even discuss quilting without me
interruptioning with personal remarks directed at specific individuals.
(I use about 40 different names in the quilting NG, of course, so there
would be no point trying to track down my specific "contributions"
there).

The tough part, lately, has been trying to feign a serious interest in
quilting. My goal is to try and raise my public persona from lower than
squid crap to more of a mainstream participant in the quilting group so
my future personal attacks and insults will be all the more stinging
and damaging. I'm one seriously sick individual. I'd seek help for my
condition, but I halfway believe that my behavior is normal and it is
the rest of the world that is out of step.

So, "where am I" when a conservative is being attacked? Right there in
the middle of the fray, following the poor ******* from thread to
thread to post crappy personal remarks whenever he says anything about
any topic. I sure wish I could stop myself. The practice says far more
about *me* than any of my dozens of daily insults and personal attacks
say about the conservatives, (or the grannies in the quilting NG). Oh
well, every group has to have a resident anus and I guess that's my lot
in life for both rec.boats and the quilting NG.

You and the dozens of other posters who are above the same sort of
behavior should be darn grateful that you don't suffer from that same
disabling personality disorder and mental illness that turns
personalities in this discussion group into Don Quixote's windmills in
my empty and meaningless life. You know how fricking sad it is to try
and keep track of stories told by, or claims made by, this guy, that
guy, or some other guy for a zillion years and then become obsessed
with ferreting out inconsistencies? No, of course you wouldn't- but
trust me it's a sad, sick, self destructive path you don't want to
wander down.

What goes around, comes around. By devoting so much energy every day to
calling other people a POS in the NG, I have become the biggest POS in
sight. Almost funny.

Either way, I am not guilty of either.

Harry,

Your statement that you have me in your Killfile is not more legitimate than
your wife's Dr. Dr. degree or your Lobster Boat. You read every one of
them, and then wait till someone responds so you can make a snotty remark,
without having to respond directly to me.

You like to repeat the lie that I am guilty of "identify theft", but when
called on it, you suddenly get quiet. Sort of like you passing up a $40,000
bet to prove your often repeated lies of your Lobster boat and wife's MD and
PHD degrees. Now if you just lied to boost your weak ego, it would be no
big deal.

The reason why you are called on the carpet for your lies, is you used your
Lobster Boat to belittle anyone whose boat did not live up to your standards
(i.e. Skipper and his Bayliner) and your wife medical degree as your
resident expert to accuse those you disagree as being mentally ill. (i.e.
Larry from Charleston) . For years you have belittled 3/4 of those who post
in rec.boats, it is important to remember that those who live by the sword,
die by the sword.

When Basskisser is caught in his web of lies, at least he has enough honor
to disappear for awhile. Maybe you can learn a lesson from Basskisser.

Why would you, or anybody else, figure that the behavior I castigated

Gould,

I have a confession to make. I am a self-absorbed individual who has failed
at numerous endeavors, selling cars, boats now as a free-lance writer.
Sometimes I feel like I have failed in everything I have tried. What
bothers me the most, is I think I might have been successful if I could have
set objectives and followed them. Instead, I just frittered away my time,
wandering from one job to another, changing jobs and careers as often as
some change underwear. When I look into the mirror I see an old man
balding, with a beard who is at the end of his life, and is still trying to
find myself. I am a pathetic human being, who feels he could have been a
contender, but now am just a failure.

I feel much better for making that confession.
