I need help finding out how to crew on a boat sailing in the Harvest
Moon Regatta in 2005. My Catalina 30 is landlocked on Lake Travis and would enjoy a chance to do the famous coastal race. I'm not sure how I can hook up with a skipper who is looking for a crew member for that race only. Such sites as findacrew.net are too general. Any leads are appreciated. |

Dear Dan,
are you a registered crew member with www.findacrew.net? Members are able to do very detailed searches such as continent - country - state - region and by type such as regatta, passage, delivery etc. I don't want to talk you into registering with Find a Crew=99 but you might find you will have a fair chance finding a boat. Just make sure you write your specific request in your text field in the profile, so even boats that are only visitors and haven't registered yet can see that you might be available. We endevour to add a specific regatta listing sorted by events, boats and positions available further down the track (scheduled release date is when we reach 10'000 members). Cheers, Daniela and the Find a Crew=99 team. |
