Don,
What if you were a snowplow driver or hospital worked? Got the day off? This government (whatever party you like) is getting more repressive every day. Paul "Don White" wrote in message ... Last night, I just found out on the 11pm news that a curfew was in effect from 11pm to 0700 this morning. This was for vehicles and pedestrians due to the state of emergency caused by our blizzard. They threaten us with a $ 1000.00 fine or 6 months in jail if caught out. Usually, you don't do much more than that for murder up here. I live in a quiet neighborhood, so I ducked out at about 11:10 last night. You seldom see police here, but as soon as I hit the street a police paddy wagon crawled along the cross street two houses away. I stood there frozen and he eyeballed me as he crept along. If I saw his brake lights go on...I was running back into the house. They weren't taking me without a fight! :-) |

Exceptions are made for 'essential workers'.
My son is pushing the envelope tonight. He works part time in our local Children's Hospital to help pay for his university tuition but tonight he's going out to party and figures his hospital pass will be his 'get out of jail' card. I advised him not to...said I'd let them throw away the key if he couldn't pay the fine etc...but you know how 22 year old college boys are. Can't tell them anything. The curfew is back on tonight.. 2300hrs till 0700 tomorrow. Paul Schilter paulschilter@comcast,dot,net wrote in message ... Don, What if you were a snowplow driver or hospital worked?
