OT Personal Feuds...

Who'll sign up for Chuck's idea of taking personal feuds off the NG? Tuuk, Fritz, Basskisser, Karen, etc., etc. ??? -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
If John H is on, maybe there's some support.
As we have seen time and again, it is foolish ever to make a commitment to change behavior forever. I'll commit to a one-week "no comment/ no reply" policy beginning now. During this week I will try to avoid "tweaking" anybody with my customary rapier wit (including those who might make some unwarranted comments about my lack of humility), and I resolve to ignore the attack posts regardless of source or ferocity. If even a few others join in for the week, it would be an interesting experiment to see if the tone of the group changes at all. It's 10:43 Friday, PDT. :-) |

Who'll sign up for Chuck's idea of taking personal feuds off the NG? Tuuk, Fritz, Basskisser, Karen, etc., etc. ??? Have you lost your mind John??? This spamming OT BS'ter Gould has tried this many times over the years so he can post more deceptive sales spam, start more OT political posts & try to BS his way around the NG as he does in life, as for Krause he's a dangerous article. Nothing but bullies. Sorry John nice thought & all I think you've been taken in "again". How many 10s of thousands had to die last time we tried appeasement with the Krauses of this world?? They're so stupid they only get the picture when you bomb the b'jeesus out of 'em & expose them for what they are. So you appease them all you like John but sorry I don't kowtow to anyone much less these lying idiots. Anyway I guess you can mark me down as a "maybe"???:-) K Been busy today so I'll keep the Krause lie of the day short. This lying simpleton, after it became clear he was losing a thread where he was displaying his usual lack of patriotism much less gratitude for the brave men & women out there risking their everything, to keep the likes of him safe, he just reverts to type. But seriously can you imagine this uneducated union thug now claims he is reviewing universities!!! & wait for it he poo poos the engineering course!!! this from a lying uneducated union thug who couldn't use a toaster without a union authorised electrician in attendance. I've included just one of the followup responses but it was such a bald faced lie it even embarrassed the rejoinders:-) I have visited West Point, the Naval Academy, the Air Force Academy and the sub training facility at Groton. Some years ago, I actually did look over descriptions of some of the course material at Annapolis and the c.v.'s of some of the faculty. I'm sure the engineering course material is fairly rigorous, though it is more "trade-oriented" and did not look up to MIT or CalTech standards. I mean, if your goal is to be an aeronautical engineer, you're going to get better training at MIT or CalTech or at any of a large number of other engineering schools. I thought the faculty academic credentials no better than what is found at a typical smaller four year public university. The military academies turn out military officers with an education, not highly educated military officers. But that is their purpose, eh? -- Holy molly, grandma, put on your high boots. Harry Krause, admitted graduate in the humanities with a degree in English is hereby qualified to critique the engineering curriculum of not only West Point, but also that of the Naval Academy and the Air Force Academy and compare it to that of MIT and CalTech. The above paragraph is a classic. You missed your calling Harry. |

By 2:14 it already appears that there is little or no interest in your idea. Too bad. I'll honor my commitment of a week, however. |

You're a simpleton liar Krause & can cause me no trouble at all:-) It's a measure of your delusional state that you'd think you can even try:-) Stalk you? You mean find out that your claim to have "invented" a diesel outboard is total complete b.s., and that the major factor in diesel outboards in Australia has never heard of you? I have never claimed to have "invented" diesel outboards this is just another of your lies. (Hey maybe you've got me mixed up with Al Gore?? he claimed to have invented all sorts of things:-)) All my posts are archived under my own name because unlike you I have nothing whatsoever to hide. Just as I always paste your own words, then you need to show where I've "ever" made such a claim because I flatly deny it. For the record the "idea" goes way back & is well beyond such claims by anyone, however Yanmar particularly do have some good patents ticking away on their improvements to the execution of them. Unlike you I don't lie, I'm mostly happy with how my life has gone, I'm very proud of my late Dad & certainly have no need to make up BS stories about him as you do about your father, same goes for my partner so again unlike you no need there & certainly I don't use this NG as a spamming ground to sell anything at all, never have & never will. Again for the record I have no trouble with anyone actually making anything they want, indeed that's what I do; I'm an encourager of others to do exactly that!! However to my current knowledge (always happy to review any material of course), up till now the only diesel full OBs that actually "exist" other than in the minds of dreamers & spruikers, are the Yanmar range (brilliant!!) & my few (even more brilliant!!). Till recently the problem with anything more than very small scale production of large diesel OBs (i.e. one at a time) was the marketing is very difficult, unless you want to just "give" your work away so others can profit for no input at all & I don't want to do that:-). Dealers demand & mostly get a minimum of 17% (aggregate of the retail price maintenance euphemistically named "rebates"; i.e. kickbacks, all manner of ever changing "allowances" or subsidies, reward points, staff training recompense, finance,) on larger OBs & often ranging up to 22%. The highest even I was unaware of till the US courts confirmed it, was 30% on Ficht!!! Imagine; no wonder those BS'ting NG spammers were so upset with me, they were getting 30% on a $12000 OB engine which they didn't even have to pay for!!! Although with a marketing line that reads "you don't need to go near a lying thieving scum dealer for 3 full years" I suspect E-Tec is giving the dealers even more to market their re-named Ficht:-) I say it's the dealers making up for the losses on Ficht i.e. new buyers are getting ripped off so the dealers can socialise the losses, very French don't you think? The only "market" left was things like govt aid, the armed forces etc which the spruikers endlessly try to mine, of course always making crazy claims about things they haven't even made:-) This is all fine with me because I'm confident if or when one of these wannabes finds, cracks or even creates a viable market for large diesel OBs then the matter can be quickly reviewed. After all we've done the hard part over a decade ago, designed & built the prototypes then actually made some. Probably a 5 yr head start on the wannabes if they ever do come along, but so far none. What has changed lately is OB pricing in general; it went up dramatically with the DFIs in the 90s, when they spectacularly failed as predicted:-) people seemed almost grateful to be charged even more absurd prices for 4 strokes, now Merc have come along with the Verado series & jumped the price another seemingly impossible quantum leap!!!. They've also made it very clear they will not be happy till all other sellers have raised their prices to the same as Verado (they've lodged dumping complaints against Yamaha but that's really the Japanese in general). Needless to say the marketers of the other brands will be only too happy to comply:-) Get ready for OB price rises that will make fuel price increases look tame:-) Clearly the French are not & never have been shy about ripping you Yankees off so Merc have no concern that E-tec will be anything other than hideous ripoff dear. The fact it will fail as Ficht did is just a bonus for Merc. This along with the recent free trade deal, just "might" create an opportunity for a niche very low volume player, so long as the offering is not just more of the same & we've shown we're good at that:-) In this environment the blokes are looking at the project again but alas & to my disappointment using a petrol core rather than diesel. K Been busy today so I'll keep the Krause lie of the day short.
