"John H" wrote in message .. . I quit around the middle of January 2002, the exact date isn't important to me. I smoked for 29 years, started when I was 11. The only thing that got me to quite was the desire to see my kids grow up, get married and have kids of their own. I used the patch for three weeks and that was it. BTW, my wife still smokes a pack and a half a day. Bert Good on ya, Bert! Congratulations. My last cigarette was on a Christmas Eve at about 11:30 pm. I decided that not smoking would be my Christmas present to me. Your reasons also played a big role in my decision. With two great daughters and four and 8/9ths grandchildren, I wanted to live a little longer. If my wife smoked, I don't know if I could have done it. Give yourself a big pat on the back 'cause you've got a much worse environment than I had. WTG Bert!!! -- John H "All decisions are the result of binary thinking." |
