I've been pretty good about not posting OT for quite a while, but Tom
DeLay's absolute lack of moral character and overwhelming hypocrisy
cannot go unchallenged.

Whether you stand on the right or the left, whether or not you find
the "right to life" argument applicable to the Schiavo family, whether
or not you believe that product liability, tort reform, and frivolous
lawsuits are a national problem..... this information should be of
interest....

..personally, I am appalled.... in his mother's own words, apparently
reality applies to *their* family, but not to other
people's.....simply appalled

Key words in the article..."family consensus".

Why is it you never comment on folks who post anti-Krause crap 10-12
times a day, or on blatant conservative propganda? Do you feel that as
long as the OT stuff reflects ideas you agree with it isn't
"contributing to the total death of the group?"

Wally falls into the same trap most of us do, including yourself. The OT
posts you find disagreeable are the most objectionable.

Every few months you might make a friendly jab at Harry, but your not so
subtle diatribes are reserved for those whom you disagree politically.

Gene - Thanks for posting this.

A part that seems very strange to me:

Aides for DeLay defended his role as a plaintiff in the
family lawsuit, saying he did not follow the legal case
and was not aware of its final outcome.

The case was resolved in 1993 with payment of an undisclosed
sum, said to be about $250,000, according to sources familiar
with the out-of-court settlement. DeLay signed over his share
of any proceeds to his mother, said his aides.

So, DeLay wasn't aware of the outcome but he signed over his
share of the proceeds to his mother?
