OT Bill and Fritz, an official reply from Labatt
To prove that I am right, and you two aren't, I emailed Labatt, and
asked their take on the Labatt vs. Labatt's issue. As you know, you two claim that Labatt's is correct. I've stated it hasn't been correct since the 70's. Anyway, this should steam you two!: Thank you for your e-mail Curtis and taking the time to leave us your comments. Our corporate name becomes more one language without the "s" and can be used in a consistent manner for French language communication activities. This issue became more significant when we acquired breweries in Italy in the late 1970's and more recently as we expanded our presence in Mexico and other South American countries. All of our Labatt products as of 1970's do not have the 's, and the registered trademark of our various beers and ales is Labatt. As Labatt's was officially changed to Labatt, it is no longer part of our registered trademark agreements. Someone in a newsgroup I belong to contends that it is Labatt's, I say it's not. Your bottle label proves that, but, he's pretty dumb, so I thought that if he heard it from the horse's mouth, so to speak..... |
Do you know what I thought of when I read this? A little kid bending
forwards, sticking his tongue out and saying NA-NA-NA-NA-NA. But glad you were finally able to get this thing squared away in your mind so you can move on already. |

Since asslicker has long been killfiled I have no idea what he said...though I can guess it, The fact is that Labatt's is commonly still used has I proved in numerous links, unlike his supposed "cow down" or 'schnapps = whiskey' or his degree from Ga. Tech. |

After the repeated attacks by Fritz and Bill on this very issue? After they BOTH called me and idiot, said I was stupid, etc. over this very issue? |

I gave you the entire response, Fritz. Please don't tell me that you aren't smart enough to realize that you were wrong. Killfiled, huh? Then why is it that you respond to every single post I make???? |
