You mean "the dems" that recently ran up the biggest deficit in the shortest time
of any period in history?

DSK

If the dems try to give everything they're promising now, we've seen
nothing yet!

Let's see, free health care for all, free college for all, free drugs
for all, subsidized or free housing for all -- hell, we won't have to
work for anything, it'll all be free!

Isn't that why you joined the military? Free health care, free college,
free prescriptions, subsidized housing...such a deal...was it good for you?

How delightful...put up a post showing yet another area in which Bush
has failed Americans and all the right-wing asswipes spend the rest of
the day rationalizing it. As usual.

All you have to do is push
this little button ---------- "Bush screwed up ___________."

And just like Pavlov's dogs, they all start drooling.

Woof!

A government pension is socialism? Your thought process is really
screwed up.

Is that what thinking in color does for you?

......Is that what you do, John? You
work for yourself?

Only for part of the year.

January through about early March, I work to pay for necessary and
worthwhile government functions; March through June I work to pay for
government waste, "entitlements" for whiners, education for non-citizen
illegal aliens, and a distinguished list of additional things to long to
list here; July and August (approximately) I work to pay for the socialized
medicine subsidies built into the med insurance premiums I pay for family
coverage; September through December I pretty much work for myself,
although my kids manage to grab a fair bit of it. :-)

In more ways than one. I recall when I was on active duty (about late 73),
the Pentagon was in process of revamping the retirement system. I knew I
was separating, so it was of little concern to me, but we all attended the
briefings nonetheless.

One figure (as of 1973) that stuck in my mind to this day is this: of all
thirty-year military retirees, only 3% live to age 60. That's a cost of
serving, too.
