Nice going folsk

It has been over 72 hours since my request for folks to stop the insults and
personal attacks. Most here have abided by this request and it has made for
a much more enjoyable NG.

To those of you who persist with the childish behavior: Join on or you will
soon become irrelevant here. ;-)

Subject should read "folks", not "folsk". Darn spellchecker does not check
the subject spelling. ;-)

Who appointed JimH the 'Lord & Savior' of our newsgroup? No one asked for
my vote.

You are upset that I made a suggestion that has resulted in a positive thing
for this NG?

My, my.

It just seems bizarre that one of the worst sinners has now 'found
religion'. From Christmas on, you fought with anyone you could...made a
road trip out to the west coast to tackle a heavyweight or two out there,
got soundly trounced and came back to attack half the North East. This after
you twice offered truces and broke them.
Maybe you should just lead by example for a while...see how this new
'Gentleman Jim' persona suites you.

I have. Will you follow suit?

And relax. This is a good thing I started.

Have a nice day Don. ;-)

Lighten up on ol' JimH. If this is the excuse he needs to modify his
own behavior, who cares?

It is amazing how the tone of the group can change when a handful of
people decide to modify behavior for better or for worse.

Jim's motivation may seem odd, but his efforts for 2-3 days now are
commendable. They say it takes 21 days to kick a habit, so if the more
civil tone prevails for another 16-18 there will be some chance of
permanent change.

Twenty-one days to kick a habit?
That's interesting. Any particular habit?

********************

Almost any of them. In some cases the habit isn't completely
eradicated, but after being dominated by the conscious mind for 21 days
the subsconscious compulsion is substantially weakened. Many of the
physiological addictions remain, but can be more easily controlled and
or suppressed, throughout the remainder of a lifetime.

Try it. Pick out something new you want to learn or something old you
want to lose. Include the new idea or exclude the old behavior for
21-days. See for yourself. :-)
